Lucas grew up playing soccer in his hometown of Strathroy, Ontario. Throughout his life he has stayed involved with the game he loves in various roles. He attended the University of Western Ontario where he obtained a bachelor's degree in Management and Organizational Studies. He spent his university years reffing intramural soccer and worked during the summers to develop and deliver sports curriculum for the university's kids summer camp program. To this day he continues to play recreational soccer and hit(shoot) twenty yard screamers into the top row of the stands.

As the son of two Italian parents, Marc was born with soccer in his blood. A ball was at his feet before he even learned how to walk and not much has changed since. Marc grew up playing competitive soccer, and ended his youth career winning the U21 Ontario Cup Championship. He attended Western University, where he graduated with a major in finance, and continued his career in soccer playing for the Western Mustangs Varsity team. Although his legs and soccer brain are not quite as quick as they used to be, his love for the game has never drifted.
